# .unwrap()

Removes a wrapper element and keeps its children in place.

```javascript
$('#avatar').unwrap('.avatar-frame');
```

outputs:

```html
    <div id="avater">...<div/>
```

```javascript
$('.image*').unwrap('figure.media-frame');
```

outputs:

```html
<div class="image">...<div/>


<div class="image">...<div/>

...
```
