# .formData()

Creates and returns a new FormData() object for the selected form.

## `$('#form').formData()`

#### **Example**

```html
<form id="myForm">
  <input name="username" value="Smith">
  <input name="email" value="user@example.com">
</form>
```

```javascript
const fd = $('#myForm').formData();
console.log(fd.get('username')); // Smith
```

#### Notes

* Throw error if selector is not a `<form>`.
* Works perfectly for AJAX uploads and `fetch()`.
